A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
