Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
